Monday was the Pr Christmas Party. We had all organised to meet in Gearoids and Cian kindly went to Newry to supply the beverages. The night began with a couple of sociable drinks and a good chat with everyone who was their from the class. We got the ball rolling with a couple of cards games which were fun to say the least. The night then continued as we all decided to have a good sing song in Gearoids front room taking that most of college manor more than likely heard us shouting rather than singing. As the shout of taxi ran round the house we all moved the party to amber where more dancing and drinking commenced. The placed was fairly empty which made it good as the group of us stayed together and enjoy a great night.
A big thanks has to go to Gearoid who kindly let us use his house and let me kip on the couch. Also cheers to the lads who went to Newry to supply the fuel for everyone and cheers to the class for a real top night!

Baby Giraffe Born In Dublin Zoo.
There has been a new arrival in Dublin Zoo, a baby giraffe. The baby giraffe was born three weeks ago and was released to the media yesterday.
He is the first giraffe to be born in the zoo for more than a decade. He's said to be thriving after settling into life at the zoo and is already showing signs of Independence.
Lee Osterwhegel, director of Dublin Zoo, said the zoo was delighted with the new arrival to the now five-strong giraffe herd. Baby giraffe are about six feet tall when they are born and grow an inch a day. They double their height in one year. Giraffes have very big appetites eating an average of 63 kg of leaf twigs every day.
Helen Clarke leader of the "African Plains" section of the zoo, said "Jenny is doing a very good job and despite the fact that she is a first-time mother, she knows what she's doing. The only thing is he is a little independent and will wander away from her. She has to keep on the ball"
Further information about the baby giraffe and the Dublin Zoo in general can be obtained fromm www.dublinzoo.ie .

Social Network Sites

Bebo, My space and Facebook common words these days. Household brands these days after the explosion of social networking sites. Its hard to imagine and remind yourself what life was life before bebo, the most popular between young people in Ireland. They are their for people to interact and chat, put up pictures, videos and add gadgets. They are also their for brands to advertise their product as it is seen by most young people around the country. Bebo personally is the one I chose, I think its simple to use and all my mates are on it which means its the perfect way to interact with people all around the country and abroad as well. The advantage of it being free and easy to use means that social networking sites are now the way to go if you are looking for some friends :D
The sex Industry
(anybody notice the car:D)The Internet is a virtual explosion of porn. No matter was it keyed into google if you look through the sites you are bound to find some porn on their somewhere. This can only really be bad with sex circles forming on the Internet and paedophile rings forming also. The way in which people abuse the Internet is twisted with horrible sites exposed to anyone and everyone. However i have absolutely no problem with women and advertising if women bran a product that is fine however that is not a sex industry. Its not abuse of power and its not rotten in simple terms. There is something seriously wrong in the world if this abuse of power is so wrong and thats the reason i think the internet and importantly the sex industry on the internet can be very easily done without.

1000-1
Bookies counted their cash last weekend as not 1 of the big four managed to saying that not 1 of the registered a goal. This was the first time this happened in six years. Chelsea were unexpectedly held at home by a resilient Newcastle side. A Frank Lampard free kick which was very nearly carried over the line by a brilliant Shay Given in goal and a Joe Cole goal ruled out for offside was as close as the blues came to breaking the deadlock. Liverpool were also held at home by a Fulham side who defended for their lies in front of the kop a serious out of touch Robbie Keane squandered the best chance for Liverpool on this frustrating day. Arsenal once again continued their slide as they were battered 3-0 by an exciting Man City side with goals from Stephen Ireland, Robhino and Daniel Sturridge. The Gunners minus loud mouth William Gallas were lacking yet again ALL over the park!
Man united left the chance to close the leaders behind at Villa Park. They were unlucky saying that as out of form Wayne Rooney miss an absolute sitter from four yards with about 8 minutes to go. Villa were good value for their draw as Martin O Neill set his side out with a good mentality and it paid off with influetinal striker Gabriel Agbonlhour in fine form. So for the first time in 6 years not one of the big four managed to break down a defence and each one endured a frustrating weekend. A super Sunday lies in order as Old Trafford hosts the Manchester Derby and Arsenal make the short trip across London to face neighbours Chelsea. Brong it on!!!!!

gunners plan backfires
Arsene has found himself smack bang in the middle of another mess this weekend after a humbling 2-0 defeat to Villa at the Emirates. The Arsenal manager has come for criticism the last few weeks with the main argument being the lack of leadership and their soft centre. Once again this was all to evident on Saturday as an impressive Villa side really did expose their frailties. Arsenal for all the beautiful football do really struggle in the centre of midfield. They are lacking that enforcer. The other 3 of the big four can play just as good football but they badly miss a general in midfield Cesc Fabregas looks tired and not interested and they are being overrun in the middle of the park. All of Liverpool Man united and Chelsea play with a 3 in the middle of mid field with at least Alonso and Mascherano, Carrick and Mikel respectively all doing that job. Arsenal may blow us away with their younger talent but really this weekend their title ambitions really ended.

tightest league ever!!!!!
Aside from the top four the rest of the League has become very unpredictable this season there is no Derby County as such with all 3 promoted sides giving very much as good as they are giving. Last weekend saw 3 results changing the complexion of the bottom half of the premiership. Sunderlands late crumble against Portsmouth, Fulhams win at Newcastle and Spurs comeback at The city of Manchester Stadium resulted in a combination of 13 places moved by the 3 clubs that won. The clubs below the big four are now worrying not only about survival but also looking toward the european places. The complexion of the league means 2 wins and your knocking on the big fours door whereas 3 defeats and the trapdoor is well and truly open. With big clubs struggling such as West Ham and Newcastle and the promoted sides giving their all it is shaping up to be one of the most exciting seasons so far. Teams expected to challenge the top four really haven't quite done their intended job withVilla looking the most promising. Others including Spurs and everton both had poor starts. This means that once again we will see a split league with the big four fighting out their mini-league and the rest scrambling for points and places below.
